In 1999, Lethan survived a serious automobile accident that left him with a severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). The experience led to years of personal and professional challenges as he struggled to rediscover his sense of self. In 2004, Lethan found his path in storytelling, using it as a tool to process his experiences and connect with others. His graduate thesis performance, “Who Am I Now?”, was a groundbreaking verbal collage of stories about TBI, inspiring survivors and audiences worldwide. His work has since expanded into published writings, speaking engagements, and research on the therapeutic benefits of storytelling in rehabilitation.
Now, filmmaker Nathan Williams is adapting Lethan’s journey into the feature film “Telling”, bringing his story to a wider audience. Nathan will share insights into the filmmaking process, the challenges of translating personal experiences to the screen, and why stories like Lethan’s matter.
We are running a fund-raising campaign to bring this story to life. We hope that you can follow us, share this project with people who would be interested in our journey, and, where possible, donate towards our mission!
